JG Jones is local to Norfolk and at present is only available to visit primary schools in this area.
The current novel being shared is: From the Cave Wall: A Stone Age Story
It is always a pleasure to share books with children and I would love to come to your school to share my stories. I am happy to do this with a whole class or small group, whether you are currently studying the historical period, or not. The visit is appropriate for children in Key Stage 2.
All my books contain high quality language, are researched in detail and supported by evidence (as far as possible).
My visit:
- We will look at where the book falls in the timeline.
- We will talk about the relevant time period.
- I will share an extract from my novel.
- I will share the non-fiction e-book.
- I will answer any questions – these can be written beforehand or asked on the day.
- I will explain about my illustration competition.
- I will talk about my readers’ club, The Source Detectives
- The children will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the novel, at the reduced price of £4.99.
The school will receive a copy of the non-fiction e-book as a Microsoft PowerPoint document, in addition to two copies of the book.
